CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - A Carbondale nursing home was evacuated on Saturday, July 14 due to severe weather.
According to an employee at the Integrity Health of Carbondale, a storm blew in during the overnight hours and lighting hit causing a power outage at the facility.
The employee said one area had some smoke from a spark in a fixture.
The fire alarm off and residents were evacuated out of the building.
There was no reported damage, according to the employee.
A wing of the building is closed down in the meantime to make sure everything is okay.
Some residents have been relocated to another facility in Marion.
