(KFVS) - With all the cloud cover today, temperatures have been able to stay cooler. However, high dew points have stayed in the area allowing oppressive conditions outside.
Another wave of scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to move through the Heartland through the mid-evening.
Some storms may be strong to severe with main impacts being torrential rain, gusty winds, and frequent lightning.
Flooding may be a concern for areas that have already seen heavy amounts of rain. Clouds should clear out in some areas tonight allowing low temperatures to be in the low to mid-70s.

Storms are in the forecast for Monday afternoon, but a cold front will move through into Tuesday morning. T
his will bring not only drier air, but cooler air into the Heartland. Mid-week temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s with comfortable dew points giving us a break from the humidity.
