Deputies said Turner failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection, traveled across the intersection and collided with the metal guardrail where the vehicle came to rest. Speed is believed to be a factor in this collision according to deputies.

Turner and Lee were both transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by Hendron Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance, and Speedy's Towing.
