6 injured, including children in Pemiscot Co., MO crash

HAYTI, MO (KFVS) - Six people had to be rushed to hospitals after a crash Wednesday night near Hayti, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, it happened when 32-year-old Kerry Crosby of Caruthersville pulled out into the path of a semi-truck driven by a man from Galveston, Texas.

It happened on highway 412 a couple of miles west of Hayti at 7:55 p.m.

Patrol officials said the car went off the road and overturned.

The driver of the semi was not hurt, but the six people from Caruthersville who were inside the car had to be taken to the hospital.

The driver, Crosby, suffered serious injuries and had to be flown to a Memphis hospital.

A passenger, 26-year-old Tosha Ford, also suffered serious injuries and was flown to a Memphis hospital.

Four children under the age of three were also injured.

One of them suffered serious injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, none of the occupants in the car were wearing safety devices.
