Man steals truck from Paducah store

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - A Kentucky man is facing charges after being accused of stealing a pickup truck from a convenience store in Paducah on July 10.

Joshua Hauger, 35, of Arlington, Ky. was arrested on charges of theft by unlawful taking (farm equipment valued at $10,000 or more) and theft by unlawful taking (automobile valued at $10,000 or more).

Hauger is accused of driving off with the vehicle that was kept running while the owner went inside Minit Mart on Cairo Road.

The truck ended up abandoned in Palestine Cemetery.

Hauger was eventually found on Steele Road.

The truck was pulling a trailer containing a stump grinder valued at $45,000 and other tools and equipment valued at an additional $10,000.

Police remind residents to lock your vehicles.
