Marion man reflects on Thai cave rescue

MARION, IL (KFVS) - A man from Marion is now home after he was asked to help in the Thailand cave rescue.

Tsanet Natisri is originally from Thailand and owns "Thai D" in Marion, Illinois.

Natisri said he'd never taken on a task this big before and he's happy they were able to get the kids out safely.

"I would say it's nearly impossible…you're dealing with like a thousand acres of waters…I have to come up with the plans…talk to one of my team so we get all the information and we try to compare the water level in the cave and outside the cave," Natisri reflected.
"To me personally, I think this operation is a miracle…somehow the best of best of the world get together …..people come volunteering…"

He is so happy to be back home relaxing, but his wife said he is already on his regular schedule of mowing and trimming the grass.

The Thai military asked Natisri, who is a groundwater expert, to aid in the rescue.

Natisri was in doing charity work when twelve young soccer players and their coach got stuck by flood waters.
