Speeding ticket turns into drug arrest in Calloway County, KY

CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A deputy from the Calloway Sheriff's Office pulled over a vehicle for going 83 miles per hour in a 65 miles per hour zone and ended up arresting four people for drug possession on Highway 641 North in Kentucky.

According to a news release from the Calloway Sheriff's office, a deputy noticed detected a strong marijuana odor from the vehicle after pulling it over. They say the driver, Larry Guerrero, confessed to having some in his trunk and a search was conducted.

Deputies say they found marijuana, cocaine, LSD, ecstasy, THC-laced cereal, gummy THC, "red velvet" THC past, THC vaping oil, and assorted drug paraphernalia during the search.

The three passengers, Christian Argomaniz, Samanta Sokolovic, and Krystal Vazquez, were all charged with marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession. They were all released.

Guerrero was arrested on those two charges as well as three counts of possession of a controlled substance and speeding. He remains in the Calloway County Detention Center.
