Southern IL Miners to host Military Appreciation Night

MARION, IL (KFVS) - Military Appreciation Night will be on Friday, June 29 at the Southern Illinois Miners game.
The Miners, in partnership with the VA Employee Association at the Marion VA Healthcare System, will be hosting. All veterans and active duty military service members will receive two free tickets with identification.

It will be at Rent One Park, 1000 Miners Drive in Marion. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the baseball game starts at 7:05 p.m.
Veterans will need to show ID for admission.
U.S. Army veteran Garrett Shawn Lynchard, MD, FACC, FACP and chief of staff at the Marion VA Healthcare System, will throw the first pitch.
