Tree falls on vehicle during storm, injured driver in Franklin Co., IL

FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The driver in a single-vehicle crash in Franklin County, Illinois was injured on IL Rte. 149.
This happened on Thursday, June 28 at 7:45 p.m. about a half-mile east of River Road.
Illinois State Police said Jackie L Stacey, 45, of Royalton, Illinois was driving a 2011 Honda Fit west on the road during a thunderstorm.

Police said she could not see well due to the rain and she stopped in the roadway. While the vehicle was stopped a large tree fell onto it, damaging the entire front end, windshield and roof. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Stacey suffered non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to a hospital via ambulance.
