Major Case Squad activated, homicide victim identified in Dexter, MO

DEXTER, MO (KFVS) - The identity of a homicide victim in Dexter, Missouri has been released and the Major Case Squad has been activated.

According to the Dexter Police Department, the Stoddard County Major Case Squad identified the man as Jimmy Lynn Casey, 66, of Dexter.

The Major Case Squad is calling this a suspicious death. It happened in the 1000 block of N. Mulberry St. on Thursday, June 28.

According to Stoddard County Coroner Kenny Pope, the autopsy on Casey was performed on Friday, June 29.

No new information is being released at this time as the coroner's office is working with Dexter police and the major case squad in the investigation.
