First Alert: Showers and thunderstorms expected

First Alert 4pm forecast 6/20

(KFVS) - We are seeing a few showers and thunderstorms developing across the area.

Grant Dade says there is a lot of moisture in the atmosphere so if you are under one of these showers you can expect cloud to ground lightning and heavy downpours.

It is partly cloudy and muggy. Temperatures are running between 85 and 90 degrees.

This evening will be warm and muggy with lows by morning in the lower 70s.

Thursday will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered storms developing. A few of these storms could be strong with gusty winds being the main threat. Highs will reach the middle 80s.

By the weekend the system will be moving out, leading to warming temps and just a slight chance of thunderstorms.
