MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A crash on March 21 left one person injured and caused another collision Wednesday afternoon at 4:50 p.m.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched to the 10 mile-marker east on Interstate 24 for a collision involving injuries.
Geraldine Gilbert, 52, of Paducah was traveling east on Interstate 24 when she left the roadway striking the cable barriers according to deputies. Deputies said Gilbert had a medical emergency and was transported to an area hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.
This crash caused another non-injury collision between two separate vehicles according to deputies. Interstate 24 was reduced to one lane for about an hour and a half. Both lanes of Interstate 24 are now back open.
