MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - An attempted burglary at a  is under investigation in McCracken County.

According to the sheriff's department, Logan McKinney, 18 of Paducah, is accused of attempting to break into the Superway gas station at 3209 Lone Oak Road late Monday night.

Deputies were dispatched to an alarm and possible burglary around 10:47 p.m.

Investigators say McKinney was spotted by the business owner, who lives nearby, using the pry bar to try to get inside of the back door to the business.

When a deputy got on scene he say McKinney with a metal pry bar in his hand, in dark clothing, wearing a ski mask.

McKinney tried to run away.

After a short chase and brief struggle, McKinney was taken into custody.

Neither the deputy nor McKinney were injured in the incident.

McKinney was arrested and is facing numerous charges, including: attempted burglary in the third degree, possession of burglary tools, fleeing or evading police in the second degree, resisting arrest and criminal mischief in the third degree.
