3 New Madrid teens suffer serious injuries in late night crash
NEW MADRID COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Three New Madrid teens were rushed to the hospital following a serious crash late Tuesday night.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Rt. WW about one mile east of New Madrid around 10:30 p.m.
Troopers say 15-year-old Demetrius Moore was traveling with two other teens when he ran off the road and overturned.
Moore suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was later transported to a hospital in St. Louis for treatment.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Johnnie Walker, 15, was seriously injured and taken by an ambulance to a hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Family say he was treated and released.
David Walton, 16, suffered serious injuries, and was flown to a hospital in Memphis.
Walton is still being treated.
Troopers say neither of the passengers were wearing seatbelts.
