Crab Orchard Refuge Public Hunting

MARION, IL (KFVS) - The Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge is once again providing opportunities for hunters as we approach the 2016-17 season.

Hunters should be aware of changes at the refuge and updates to regulations.

Beginning October 1, all firearm wild turkey hunters must use non-toxic (lead free) shot.

The hunting of bobcats on the refuge remains unauthorized.

A free general hunting permit is required and must be carried by hunters.

Due to construction, Devils Kitchen Road will be closed from mid-September to mid-December.

For additional information, contact the Crab Orchard NWR visitor center at 618-997-3344.
