GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A tip about illegal drug activity leads deputies to a man who was also a fugitive.

According to Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon, deputies responded to a home on State Route 129 in Pilot Oak on Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies found Roger Shane Papierski, 28, at his mom's house.

Redmon said Papierski tried to leave in a vehicle, but as he was talking to investigators, the department's K9 indicated there were illegal drugs inside the vehicle.

A search turned up a stolen .38 caliber handgun, methamphetamine, and marijuana.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for the property and found another handgun, and more methamphetamine and marijuana in a camper and outbuilding behind the house.

Redmon said deputies also found several sets of digital scales, baggies, and other items believed to be stolen.

Papierski faces several charges including trafficking controlled substance, trafficking marijuana, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
