(KFVS) - Let's take a stroll down our musical memory lane.

This morning we revisit the summer of 1999.

This week 17 years ago Billboard Magazine's Hot 100 had Smash Mouth at number five with All Star.

Coming in at number four was Destiny's Child with Bills, Bills, Bills. The men-bashing song was the group's first chart topper.

At number three was LFO with Summer Girls. The song makes references to such pop culture items as The Wizard of Oz, New Kids on the Block, Abercrombie and Fitch, Larry Bird, William Shakespeare and Michael J. Fox among others.

Holding down the number two spot was Enrique Iglesias with Bailamos. The song was sung in Spanish. By the way in English Bailamos means let's dance.

And Christina Aguilera was in the top spot with her very first hit.  Genie in a Bottle is one of Aguilera 's signature songs and it established her in the music industry.  It spent five weeks at number one and is considered one of the most iconic songs of the 1990's.
