STEELE, MO (KFVS) - A 32-year-old woman is behind bars, accused of stabbing her boyfriend.
According to Steele Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield, officers were called to the Food Giant parking lot Thursday night for a report of a man who had been stabbed.
The man told officers he had been stabbed in the shoulder and had other cuts on his body from the knife.
According to Chief Stanfield, the man said he'd been assaulted by his girlfriend at a home on North First Street.
32-year-old Melissa Wade is charged with assault 1st degree and armed criminal action.
The woman is being held in the Pemiscot County Jail on $200,000 bond.
