MSHP: EMT fell asleep, crashed

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A Cape County Private ambulance was involved in a crash on I-64 in St. Charles County, Mo. overnight.
According to the St. Charles County Ambulance District, two of their ambulances responded to the crash to care for the people involved just after 2 a.m. It happened near Highway N.
The driver, 21-year-old Samantha Sniadecki of Perryville, fell asleep at the wheel, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash report said the ambulance left the road, hit the cable median, went back on the road, then landed on its side.
A 28-year old man in the ambulance, a 17-year-old woman in the ambulance, and Sniadecki were all taken to an area trauma center for treatment.
The spokesman for St. Charles County Ambulance District said their injuries are not considered life threatening.
A spokesperson for Cape County Private Ambulance did not want to comment on why the ambulance was in the area.
