Fruitland Fire to hold public meeting

FRUITLAND, MO (KFVS) - Public meetings have been scheduled for June 2 and June 23 at 7 p.m. at Saxony Lutheran High School.

The topic of the meetings will be the results of the surveys sent to the residents asking the residents if they are in favor of adding paid personnel to the Fruitland Area Fire District.

A presentation of a history of the Fruitland Area Fire District, the current operations of the district and future projections of the district will be given.

A question and answer session is also on the agenda to answer questions about the survey, as well as needs of the district.

According to the fire district, this meeting will also bring up the possibility of a tax increase to be put to the public on an upcoming ballot to fund future expansion of the district and the services offered.

The public is encouraged to attend these meetings with the Board of Directors and the officers of the Fruitland Area Fire District.
