(KFVS) - The University of Texas celebrated its 133rd graduating class on Saturday, May 21, 2016.
Most graduates awed the amazing fireworks display, a tradition during the university-wide ceremony that brings degree candidates from all disciplines together at the UT Tower, along with their families and friends, for the crowning celebration of their academic achievement.
But one graduate ended her time with a bigger bang than most.
Like everyone else, Megan had her phone up to capture video of the display.
That is when the unexpected happened. It was all caught on camera and posted to her Twitter.
A couple of seconds into the video, she gets nailed in what looks like her face by a graduation cap that was thrown in the air.
The video has gone viral. Since it was posted on Saturday, the video has been re-tweeted more than 17,000 times.
The question now: will the tradition of throwing caps into the air for graduation ceremonies continue?
