Lilbourn man arrested for stealing from storage unit in Miner

MINER, MO (KFVS) - A Lilbourn man is behind bars, accused of breaking into a storage unit.

According to Miner Police Chief Chris Griggs, 23-year-old Lance Chamberlain may be responsible for several other storage unit break ins in Miner and Sikeston.

Chief Griggs said an officer was patrolling Lucas Street and was checking on storage units when he came into contact with Chamberlain. He was reportedly inside one of the units and was working to steal items from it.

Chamberlain was wanted for questioning in another case the officer was working, according to Griggs.

He is charged with 2nd degree burglary, stealing, and property damage.

Chamberlain is being held in the Scott County Jail on $15,000 bond.
