Carbondale police arrest juvenile on aggravated robbery charge

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - The City of Carbondale Police Department reports a juvenile was arrested on a charge of aggravated robbery on Thursday, April 28.

Police report they were dispatched to the 500 block of North Oakland a little after 7 p.m. last Thursday, and through the course of a preliminary investigation learned that the victim was walking in the 300 block of West Pecan Street with acquaintances.

According to the victim, one of the acquaintances, a juvenile, demanded personal property from him while brandishing a firearm.

Police arrested the juvenile at his home. He was charged with aggravated robbery and taken to the Jackson County Jail.

There were no injuries reported.
