Jackson Co. Sheriff's Dept. search for armed robbery suspect

BARNHART, MO (KFVS) - Jackson County Sheriff Oliver "Glenn" Boyer is reporting authorities are asking the public's help identifying a suspect who robbed a Dollar General store in Barnhart, Missouri on Sunday, Jan. 31.

Boyer said the suspect entered the store, which is located in the 7000 block of US Hwy. 61/67  in Barnhart, and pulled out a handgun before demanding money from the cash register.

The suspect then left the store. Authorities conducted an area canvass and were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white or hispanic male, approximately 5'8" - 6'0" tall with dark brown or black hair. He was reportedly wearing dark sunglasses, a white bandana, a black short sleeve t-shirt and blue jeans.
