Of those citations, 122 were for violations which occurred on public property, such as a street or sidewalk, or on private property. The remaining 17 violations occurred inside or outside of the licensed liquor establishments during the compliance checks.

Police report during Polar Bear in 2015, seven of these violations occurred at Pinch Penny Pub, five at the Saluki Bar, three at Copper Dragon and two at Stix.

According to police, of the 129 individuals who were issued citations, 70 of those cited reported they were currently students enrolled at at a college or university. Of those 30 people indicated they were SIU students and the other 40 said they were students at another college or university.

The remaining 59 either refused to provide their status as a student or have yet to be identified as a student who is currently enrolled at a college or university.
