WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Illinois State Police is reporting one man was injured after a semi hit a pickup truck on I-57 Wednesday morning, Jan. 20.

Robert Howard, 51, of Calvert, Kentucky, was driving a 2004 GMC truck when he lost control of the vehicle due to snowy conditions, coming to a stop in the right lane at mile marker 49.

Daniel D. Corn, 40, of Kevil, Kentucky, who was driving a semi behind Howard, was unable to stop in time, hitting the passenger side of Howard's truck.

The impact forced the truck off of the roadway into a ditch.

Howard had to be extricated from the truck and was transported via ambulance to a local hospital for the treatment of non-incapacitating injuries.
