MISSOURI (KFVS) - If you purchased a gift card from any Missouri Romano's Macaroni Grill in 2014, you may be due a refund.
Late that year, the restaurant announced it was immediately closing all of its Missouri locations.
The Missouri Attorney General's Office began looking into complaints that consumers had purchased gift cards thinking they could redeem them at a local Romano's Macaroni Grill.
About 500 Missourians are still holding such gift cards.
Consumers can take advantage of the program by contacting the Attorney General's Office and providing the gift card number from the back of an eligible card.
Eligible gift cards include those that were purchased at a Missouri location of Romano's Macaroni Grill during the 2014 calendar year.
Cards that are redeemable at several different restaurants are not eligible for this program, but can still be redeemed at the other restaurants listed on the card or at Romano's Macaroni Grill locations outside of Missouri.
To report a gift card, consumers may fill out the online form here or may call (800) 392-8222. All claims must be received by 5 p.m. on May 11, 2016.
