Leaf pick up, brush collection to resume in Cape Girardeau
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Cape Girardeau Public Works announced it will resume its Christmas tree pick up, compost bag collection and drop off, small limb pickup and large limb drop off.
The services were suspended due to flooding.
The city's leaf collection program resumes on Jan. 19.
Residents are asked to rake leaves within 6 feet of the street, and make sure leaves raked to the curb are not blocked by vehicles.

Christmas tree, compost bag and small limb pick up resumes on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
Public Works will pick up the Christmas trees every Wednesday through Feb. 24, for a $5 fee. Christmas trees can also be dropped off at the designated location in Arena Park, which is near the livestock areas of the fairgrounds, for free.
You can buy compost bags at the City Hall customer service department, Schnucks and Food Giant. Bags are $6.25.
Call Public Works at 573-339-6351 to arrange a Wednesday pick up of the items listed above.
Large limbs more than a quarter-inch in diameter can be dropped off at the Transfer Station. Regular Transfer Station rates apply.
