JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is now reporting that a missing a 15-year-old runaway has been found safe and sound on Tuesday, Dec 8 around 3:30 p.m

The sheriff's department had initially reported that Taylor Greenrod had been reported as a runaway from an address in DeSoto, Illinois around 6:50 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015.

Greenrod's parents said that Greenwood had been home at 3:30 p.m on that day.

The girl had reportedly visited a friend's home in Hurst, Illinois at about 6:45 p.m. However, it was unknown where she went from there.

According to the sheriff's department, Greenrod requires daily medication and was considered endangered without the medication.

Investigators reported that Greenrod might have be heading to Paducah, Kentucky to meet with a friend.

She had last been seen wearing dark blue jeans with holes in the knees, brown knee-high boots, a black t-shirt and a black or dark blue hooded sweatshirt with "Ohio" on the front.

Police said it was the numerous calls they received from concerned citizens that played a big role in finding Greenrod.
