Trigg County Sheriff's Office deputy Mikka Crabtree responded to the scene after discovering the suspect in question had an active warrant out of Putnam County, Tenn. for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Dean A. McCraw, 50, of Cadiz, Kentucky was arrested on site.

After McGraw was taken into custody, deputies searched his home and property and found more guns.

McCraw is being charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and being a fugitive from justice.

He was take to the Christian County Jail at this time and will also be facing charges in Tennessee.

Sheriff Burnam said the alert system worked great, as there were no loopholes that allowed McCraw to purchase the firearm.
