East Prairie, MO woman arrested in theft investigation

EAST PRAIRIE, MO (KFVS) - An East Prairie woman is facing felony charges after a theft investigation by the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department.

The investigation began last month when a local resident reported several pieces of jewelry and a checkbook missing from her rural Mississippi County home.

During the investigation, deputies learned that Stephanie Suzette Morgan, 22, of East Prairie, had visited a Sikeston pawn shop to pawn the victim's jewelry, and had reportedly used the woman's checks at various businesses in Scott County.
