2.2-magnitude earthquake rattles near New Madrid

NEW MADRID, MO (KFVS) - A 2.2 magnitude earthquake shook parts of southeast Missouri on Monday morning.

Preliminary reports show the quake was centered six miles south southwest of New Madrid, Mo. and hit just before 9 a.m.

CERI at the University of Memphis measures the earthquake at 2.2 magnitude and about 5.6 miles deep.
