Woman arrested after found driving stolen car from rental business

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A woman who allegedly stole a car from Hertz Rental in Mayfield is now behind bars and is facing several other drug charges.

The rental business reported April Pettigrew, 32, was the suspect in the auto theft.

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, around 11 p.m. a deputy located the gray vehicle with Pennsylvania tags that was reported stolen at Pocket's Gas Station.

The deputy conducted a traffic stop and Pettigrew was driving the vehicle.

Inside of the car, the deputy also found drugs and paraphernalia.

Pettigrew was arrested and was transported to the Graves County Jail.

She is facing the following charges: theft of auto, possession of a controlled substance (meth), trafficking marijuana less than eight ounces, possession of drug paraphernalia, and and promoting contraband.
