ORAN, MO (KFVS) - Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says a Delta, Mo. man has been arrested for drugs and two active no bond warrants.
Curtis L. McBride, 32, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
McBride also has active no bond warrants from the United States Marshals Service and Missouri Probation and Parole.
Sheriff Walter says that on Wednesday, the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of two people laying on the side of the road on State Highway 77, near Oran.
McBride was identified by a deputy as one of those people.
The deputy was told that McBride had two felony warrants.
McBride heard the radio traffic, walked away from the deputy, and threw a plastic container on the ground.
The deputy then got McBride under his control, and picked the container up.
It contained two hypodermic needles, which both contained a clear fluid.
McBride admitted the needles belonged to him.
He said he was going to jail, so he threw the container on the ground.
McBride later gave a written statement, where he admitted the needles were his, as well as being possession of methamphetamine.
He was arrested and taken to the Scott County Jail.
Bond was set by the court at $25,000 cash or surety.
