2.8M earthquake reported near New Madrid

NEW MADRID, MO (KFVS) - A 2.8 magnitude earthquake shook parts of southeast Missouri around 8:46 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
The quake was reportedly centered 5 miles south southwest of New Madrid, Mo.
Residents living south of Sikeston or northwest of Union City, Tn. might have also felt a little shake.
Preliminary reports by CERI at the University of Memphis measures the quake at 2.7 magnitude and 5.9 miles deep.
