1 airlifted after semi vs. vehicle crash on I-57 in Franklin Co., IL

FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - One person was airlifted after wreck on I-57 in Franklin County, IL just after 9:00 p.m Friday night.
According the Illinois State Police, a semi-trailer combination went to merge into the right lane hitting another vehicle, causing it to spin in center median.
The vehicle flipped several times before coming to a stop.
The driver of the semi was airlifted to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
The driver of the vehicle, Jonathan Blackmon, was transported to Herrin Hospital.
