PERRY COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - A Du Quoin woman is dead after a 2-car crash in Perry County on Saturday.

Officials say Tarsha L. Williams, 37, was driving east bound on Greens Market Road approaching the intersection with Kathleen Mine Road.

Williams failed to stop at the stop sign posted for east bound traffic and proceeded into the intersection.

She then collided with Brian F. Henderson, 69, also of Du Quoin, who was southbound on Kathleen Mine Road.

Both Williams and Henderson, as well as a passenger in Williams' car, Phillip L. Johnson, 48, were transported to Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Williams was pronounced dead by the attending physician.

Johnson was airlifted to St. Louis Hospital with severe leg trauma.

Henderson was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Illinois State Police are continuing to investigate the crash.

Du Quoin Fire and Rescue, Du Quoin Police Department and the Perry County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation.
