3 injured, 1 cited for DUI after Saline Co. crash

SALINE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Three drivers were injured after a crash on Illinois Route 34 in Saline County on Thursday, July 16 at 3:44 p.m.
According to Illinois State Police, Sandra S. Brooks, 67, of Galatia, lll., was driving a white Ford F-150 and John Ferguson, 56, of Vienna, Ill., was driving a white Dodge Ram north on IL Rt. 34 just north of Mt. Moriah Road.
Police say Bradley J. Bohnert, 40, of Evansville, Ind., was driving a gray Ford F-150 south on IL Rt. 34, at the same location, when he crossed the center.
Bohnert's truck first hit the driver side of Brooks' truck before colliding nearly head-on with Ferguson's truck.
Ferguson was taken by helicopter to an Evansville hospital.
Bohnert and Brooks were taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
Police say all three drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
Bohnert was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, driving while license suspended and improper lane usage.
ISP District 19 was assisted at the crash scene by the Saline County Sheriff's Department, Harrisburg Police Department and the Harrisburg Fire Department.
