CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Cape Girardeau is expecting around 14,000 visitors to the 44th annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Extravaganza.
It's one of the biggest craft fairs in the region.
On Friday, Nov. 21, artists set up their booths at the Osage Centre. They have everything from snowmen to pottery to wood making.
Organizer Murielle Gaither said not only is the show great for vendors and, it's the biggest fundraiser that the Arts Council has all year.
The money raised goes toward the council's work in the community.
"It helps us generate about 60 percent of our operating income for the full year, and little known fact about the arts council, we actually supply the community with over 100 events each calendar year," Gaither said.
The show will be Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There are two locations, one at the Osage Centre and one at the Show Me Center.
One ticket gets you into both.
