Fire engulfs house near Bernie

BERNIE, MO (KFVS) - The Bernie Fire Department responded to a fire at a vacant farm house near Bernie Tuesday night.
The fire happened around 10:30 p.m. on County Road 659 about a half mile Hwy. H.
Bernie Fire Chief Wayne Freed says the house was engulfed in flames. He says the home was destroyed.
No word on a cause, but the home did have electricity running to it. The fire is not considered suspicious.
No one was injured.
