CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Crews with the 20th Century Fox film "Gone Girl" were at the old Thorngate building in Cape Girardeau on Thursday doing establishing shots, according to a member of the film crew.

The film's producer Cean Chaffin says on Monday they started shooting cars going by, posters and things that do not require actors.

Crews will be shooting in Cape Girardeau until October 23, according to the producer.

Chaffin says crews will begin shooting scenes that involve actors starting on Monday.

Ben Affleck will be playing Nick Dunne and Rosamund Pike will play Amy Dunne. Tyler Perry will play Tanner Bolt and Neil Patrick Harris will play Desi Collins.
