1 injured when car hits tree, catches fire

REYNOLDS COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - One person was injured on Monday when a car ran off the road, hit a tree and caught on fire.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 7:30 p.m.

Nicholas Fischer, 20 of Piedmont, was driving on Route AA, 4 miles northwest of Piedmont, when he crossed the centerline and ran off the road.

His car then went airborne, hit a tree and caught fire.

Fischer suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
