VANDUSER, MO (KFVS) - The Scott County Fire Department was on scene of a house fire in Vanduser Wednesday, April 10 at 10:15 p.m.

According to Jeremy Perrien, Scott County Rural Fire Chief, the fire started in a vacant home on Ault Street. The building is a total loss.

Perrien said an 85-year-old man was evacuated from a neighboring home, but the fire is now under control and did not spread to the neighbor's home.

The fire department believe a power line that was loose could have caused the fire. It is under investigation at this time.
