JACKSON, MO (KFVS) - The man accused of shooting at his wife and police in a Jackson neighborhood in June will go trial in September.
During a preliminary hearing this week, a judge ruled the state has enough evidence to move forward with the case against 45-year-old Lawrence Guthrie.
Guthrie is charged with domestic assault, armed criminal action, and three counts of first degree assault on a law enforcement officer.
Officers headed out to a Jackson neighborhood after Guthrie's wife called 911 saying her husband shot at her.
Investigators say Guthrie shot himself and was also hit by a bullet from police after a standoff.
Guthrie is due back in court in September.
