Suspects wanted for alleged copper theft


LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Police are looking for two men accused of stealing copper wire.
The suspects, who are father and son are being sought by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department for questioning.
The suspects are David Bauer, 48, and Joseph Bauer, 33. Both men are from the Salem, KY area.
According to the Livingston County, Ky. Sheriff's Office, the theft investigation began on New Year's Day.
Deputies say the alleged theft of copper wire happened at Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel near Salem, Ky.
During the investigation, deputies say that the suspects had also taken approximately $2,000 of wire from an irrigation pivot near Salem, Ky., belonging to Cook Farms.
The suspects apparently had a collision in their vehicle and fled the scene prior to deputies arriving at the scene.
