Bertrand man arrested for trafficking heroin

BERTRAND, MO (KFVS) - Police arrested a Bertrand man suspected of trafficking large amounts of heroin.
Police found large amounts of heroin being transported from the St. Louis and Chicago area to a man living near Bertrand.
Daniel Murray, 28, faces possession with the intent to distribute charges in Scott and Mississippi counties.
Sikeston's Operation's Group served a warrant at his home on January 18 around 6 p.m. and found a large amount of heroin and three handguns.
The Murray is a prior convicted felon and prohibited from possessing those weapons.
It was a joint investigation between Sikeston DPS, DEA, Semo Drug Task Force and the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department.
