Sikeston officers arrest 4 after armed robbery of elderly man

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - A man wanted on robbery, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon charges turned himself into authorities Thursday night.

Lorenzo Ware Jr., 20, was wanted in connection with the armed robbery of an elderly Sikeston man earlier in October.

Three people were already arrested in connection with the crime.

Police say the group confronted an 89-year-old man at an apartment on North Ranney Street.

The man told police one of them demanded his money and threatened to shoot.

According to police, they took his wallet and pushed him down.

Sheantie L. McCauley, 26, Tyrese S. Bateman, 17, Chris Boyd, 19, all of Sikeston are charged with robbery 1st (class A felony), armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon (class D felony).

Ware Jr. is also charged with robbery 1st (class A felony), armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon (class D felony).

Bond has been set at $50,000 cash or surety bond for each suspect.
