MT VERNON, IL (KFVS) - They ran, but they didn't get far.  Police and narcotics officers say they stormed a house for selling drugs but not before three people ran out the back door.
Investigators say an ongoing investigation led them to believe drugs were being sold out of a house at 20885 North Jacob Lane in rural Jefferson County.
A search warrant was issued and police and members or the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department converged on the home early Tuesday morning.
After catching the three people who ran out the back of the house, officers say they found crack cocaine, cannabis, packaging materials and a security system used to watch police arriving.
Investigators say 37-year-old Terry Phelps, 43-year-old Ramona Huntman and 28-year-old Eric Daniels were all arrested and charged with various drug related charges.
