COPY-2 Ky. women killed in I-64 crash

OWINGSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Two women have been killed in a car crash on Interstate 64 in northeastern Kentucky.

Tessa Harris was driving westbound Saturday when she lost control and crossed into the eastbound lanes, striking a car driven by 45-year old James Samples of Lexington.

Harris, a 27-year-old from Ashland, and Samples' passenger, 45-year-old Debbie Samples, suffered fatal injuries from the crash.

James and Debbie Samples were flown to University of Kentucky Hospital, where Debbie Samples was pronounced dead. The condition of James Samples was not available.
