SIU Faculty Offer Arbitration

(Carbondale, IL)--According to Southern Illinois University Chancellor Walter Wendler, the Faculty Association has offered to enter binding arbitration.
That's where the two sides would state their case to a third party, who would then decide the outcome.
According to Wendler, the administration rejected that offer, and in return, handed the Faculty Association what he's calling their "final offer".
Now, Wendler says, it's up to the faculty union to vote on this offer and reply to the administration before the deadline, which is Monday, February 3 at noon.
